For the Love of Susan

$1,817 of $10,000 raised

In loving memory of Susan Beth Dawson (nee Neiditz), this donation site has been set up to assist another person in acquiring a service dog.

Susan’s great passion was for her dogs and dog sports which she actively participated for over 20 years. Susan and her canines participated in Obedience Training, Go to Ground, Lure Coursing and Agility, but especially Flyball. When Greensboro Parks and Recreation announced a plan to create the first dog park in the city, Susan was part of the initial Steering Committee for the Stephen M. Hussey Bark Park located in Greensboro’s Country Park. Her great love of life was stronger than any of the physical challenges she experienced. Her strong spirit and love of her dogs kept her participating in Flyball until early this year. Her dogs achieved many Flyball awards and she was voted MVP. Flyball colleagues dearly loved Susan especially across North and South Carolina and Virginia. All were lucky to have called her their friend.

Family and friends prefer that the service dog go to someone with FSH or another form of MD. However, Susan and her loving heart, would have wanted anyone who needs a service dog to receive a service dog in her honor.

Please assist family and friends in honoring Susan’s memory and legacy by contributing money to obtain a service dog for person with a need.
